fall is here...

I want to thank all of you who came out in the rain yesterday to see me at my last Edmonds Market for the season. It was wonderful to see you all. And I hope to see you again next year at some of the markets.

These are more images from the morning walk I took earlier in the week. It was such a great morning for a walk. This morning it was a bit more gray and a bit more cold, just a hint from Mother Nature, that it is indeed autumn.

As the season changes, so does my schedule. I will be starting class again tomorrow and will post my progress as I learn and make more metal and stone adornments.

I hope you all are well.

morning walk

The last two weeks have been so beautiful... I woke up this morning and had to go on a walk. I brought my camera with and will share the pictures from it in my next couple of posts.

Today is a day of inspiration. Looking at nature, taking time to think, and get ready for new designs of my jewelry. It's been a very busy few weeks, I've added another store to the mix. Meridian Boutique in Excelsior, Mn. Now my jewelry is being sold in two of their locations Bozeman, Mt and Excelsior, Mn. It's all very exciting to me to be diving in to this new realm of business•art.

I really hope the sun stays out and the sky stays blue for a while... It's so pleasant and easy to smile and get things done...

filling orders.....feeling fall

My parents were here for 5 days and we had a great time in Gig Harbor and Port Townsend. Although it's been warm, fall is on is it's with the tips of the leaves turning burnt red and the air in the morning feeling cool and crisp.

This week, I have filled one order for Spirit Horses Wellness Center in Sauk City, Wi and The Museum of Glass in Tacoma, Wa just picked up my line, plus many of my one of a kind pieces. So, needless to say, I've been busy...

whirlwind week

So much has happened this week. It's been full of excitement here. I've gotten several custom orders not to mention the 3 store orders. Plus one more on the way. Needless to say, I've been busy making jewelry and filling orders. Not a bad way to spend a gray and cloudy August week in Seattle.

The picture is of one my most popular pieces this season. Lava from a volcano in Indonesia, rough, polished and facetted citrine with the toggle in the front.

two new store accounts. check them out!!!

just got back

from a wonderful week in sunny Wisconsin. We were there for a our friend's wedding, but while there, I was working too. My jewelry will soon be carried in two more stores in Wisconsin Atticus on the capitol square, a great little boutique carrying awesome clothing for men and women. Spirit Horses will also be carrying a large selection of my jewels. This is a great place for healing in my home town Sauk City. I also will be shipping a big order of earrings and a few bracelets to Orange Tree Imports. I've been selling there for years.

It was a busy week of family, friends and business. It feels good to be back in Seattle. Now I must get busy making tons and tons of jewelry.

If you are in the seattle area, don't miss the Edmonds Market this Saturday August 23rd. I'll be there selling my goods from 9-3pm

thinking, preparing, feeling

It is a gray morning, although, I know it will burn off and be sunny soon. This week my mind has been on design. I've been working on my black basalt from Victoria and I've been thinking about design from a different perspective. Transitions..

This year my work has been a lot about transitions and transitions are hard for me. But then when I think about them in the form of design, I get excited. Transitions from one texture to the next, from one component to the other, from color to color.

These photos represent a lot of what I do. I find little pieces that the earth has transitioned into smooth and beautiful stones and I take it and create art you can wear. They are found at the earth's transition of land to water, the gradual shift of form to formless and beyond to the unknown.

Change is the only constant..
